These are pants inspired by 1940’s vintage french army motorcylce pants. The key feature of these are the front flap that reveal pockets beneath. The main function of this flap was to offer an extra layer of protection and insulation against wind and debris which was essential for motorcyclists and soldiers. I love how with the flap up onlookers can’t tell that there are pockets, almost like a secret only the wearer knows. With the snaps, there become many different ways to style these pants. The material is a midweight camo canvas and the pattern was drafted by me and sewn up with a Singer Heavy Duty.
